Oh, We Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!

Most people dream of living by the beach and pay huge amounts of money for ocean views. So we took a look at which coastal suburbs were the most popular with buyers nationwide in the last 12 months.

Regional NSW dominated the list, in particular towns close to Wollongong in the south and further up along the Central Coast.

Interestingly, coastal properties usually spend longer on the market, but may ultimately sell for more when they find the right niche buyer. Traditional property cycle seasonality is less evident when it comes to coastal real estate, with no clear periods where demand is stronger – so if you’re sitting pretty near the beach, any time could be a good time to sell.

10 MOST POPULAR COASTAL SUBURBS

  • Thirroul, NSW
  • Bulli, NSW
  • Woonona, NSW
  • Wamberal, NSW
  • Green Point, NSW
  • Budgewoi, NSW
  • Eleebana, NSW
  • Mona Vale, NSW
  • Warriewood, NSW
  • Corrimal, NSW
